Born in Riga, Latvia, to an ethnically Russian family.
In 2001, while living in Bremen, Germany, she was among the final 8 contestants of the second season of Popstars (2000). She and fellow contestant David Korinth narrowly missed out on a spot in the line-up of the resulting pop/R&B group, Bro'Sis.
Gave birth to her first child, a boy, in autumn 2018.
