“Wheel of Time” Season 3 is continuing to build out its cast.

Variety has learned that Olivia Williams, Callum Kerr, Luke Fetherston, and Nuno Lopes have all joined the high-fantasy series at Amazon Prime Video. They will play members of the royal family of the kingdom of Andor.

They are the latest additions to the cast, alongside previously announced Season 3 cast member Shohreh Aghdashloo. Rosamund Pike will return for Season 3 alongside Sophie Okonedo, Daniel Henney, Josha Stradowski, Zoë Robins, Madeleine Madden, Marcus Rutherford, Dónal Finn, Ceara Coveney, Kate Fleetwood, Natasha O’Keeffe, Ayoola Smart, and Kae Alexander.

Williams will play Morgase Trakand, the Queen of Andor. The official character description states, “Morgase did not inherit her throne. Rather, when the succession was left without an heir, she waged a brutal war against a half-dozen noble rivals, and thanks to her political savvy and utter ruthlessness, she won. Olivia Williams (The Sixth Sense), Luke Fetherston (Doctor Who), Callum Kerr (Hollyoaks) and Nuno Lopes (White Lines) have joined the Season 3 cast of Prime Video‘s fantasy epic series The Wheel of Time, starring Rosamund Pike, Madeleine Madden and Josha Stradowski.

Williams, Fetherston, Kerr and Lopes will portray the royal family of the kingdom of Andor. Andor is the largest, most populous, and most influential country within the heart of the Westlands, the fictional land depicted in Robert Jordan’s epic fantasy book series on which the television series is based.

Williams portrays Morgase Trakand, the Queen of Andor. Morgase did not inherit her throne. Olivia Williams is making the long, long trek from Wallach IX to Andor.

Currently starring on HBO’s Dune: Prophecy, Williams is among four cast additions for The Wheel of Time Season 3, which will premiere Thursday, March 15, 2025 on Prime Video.

Prime Video has released the first footage from the upcoming third season of The Wheel of Time via an exciting teaser trailer, while also announcing that the fantasy adventure series is set to return to our screens on March 13, 2025.

In the promo, we see Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) attempt to come to terms with the prophecy that will claim either her life or that of Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), who may hold the future of humanity in his hands as the Dragon Reborn.

Season 3 will be primarily based on the fourth book in Robert Jordan's series, The Shadow Rising, which finds Rand and his companions travelling to the Aiel Waste in an attempt to win over its people to their cause.

“The first 15 minutes of Season 3 is one of the most bonkers set pieces I’ve ever seen on television,” said executive producer Rafe Judkins in a recent interview.

Amazon Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time takes its own getting to new seasons, with a full 21 months between the first and second. Finally, after season two concluded in October of last year, we have a teaser for season three. And while that might give fans a taste of what’s to come, they still have to wait until March for the episodes to drop.

Prime Video is ready to give another turn to The Wheel of Time.

The Amazon-owned streamer has set a March 13 premiere date for the fantasy drama’s third season. Prime Video also released a first teaser for the coming season at São Paulo’s CCXP24 convention.

In the teaser (watch it below), Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) warns that she has seen “a thousand thousand futures” — and that there are none in which both she and Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), the young man who may hold the future of humanity in his hands as the Dragon Reborn, survive.

Well, I guess it's not much of a surprise if you tell people about it beforehand, but Judkins revealed on Instagram Stories that he'll be announcing The Wheel of Time season 3 release date during the panel at Comic-Con Experience 2024 in São Paolo, Brazil, on Saturday, Dec. 7. An almost-kiss between them turned into a heartfelt hug and Strike’s declaration that Robin was his best friend, leaving them still tantalisingly apart but ready for their next adventure.

Prime Video’s released seven posters featuring 14 characters from the upcoming second season of The Wheel of Time. The posters were released with details on each character and, according to the streaming service, the posters contain easter eggs hidden in the pairings and costumes.

Season two will kick off with the release of the first three episodes on September 1, 2023. The second season’s based on Robert Jordan’s second novel of the series, The Great Hunt. It will also include some of Jordan’s third novel, The Dragon Reborn.

It might be easy to think that "Peaky Blinders" is a rip-roaring gangster story, exploring the rise (and likely fall) of Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby as leader of the most fearsome collection of petty thieves and bloodthirsty criminals in early 1900s Birmingham. It certainly is that, to be sure, but that description doesn't quite manage to do justice to the collection of fascinating characters caught up in the wake of Tommy's ceaseless ambitions to grow his organization from the mud-soaked grime of horse racing to the upper echelons of political influence in Parliament. No, it'd probably be more accurate to call this popular (and recently concluded) show a family drama.

According to Radio Times, the show set a record for TV viewing in Britain, netting 3.8 million viewers for the premiere, with a high of 4.1 million.

The Cillian Murphy-led series debuted its sixth season in late February on BBC One in the UK, setting a new record for a season launch at 3.8 million overnight viewers. UK sci-fi series Intergalactic will not be coming back for a second season at Sky, Gabriel Silver, Director of Commissioning for Drama, confirmed today.

Speaking at the Edinburgh TV festival, the exec said the company had been “disappointed with audience figures” for the show, which broadcast on Sky One earlier this year.

Intergalactic follows a crew of female convicts who break free and go on the run. It stars Savannah Steyn, Eleanor Tomlinson and Natasha O’Keeffe.

Silver added that the show had turned out to be a “bigger risk than we anticipated”, noting the difficult in finding audiences for “English-accented sci-fis”.

Asked what his team at Sky was looking to commission, the exec said they remain open minded but are “quite well stocked on gangsters and drug dealers”.
