Frank Martinez is an award-winning film editor based in Los Angeles, California. His most recent work, "The Harvest", is expected to screen in 2023. He also worked with the Smithsonian Institution to edit a documentary called "Satook", which screened at the National Museum of Asian Art and was on display in the Exhibition "Revealing Krishna: Journey to Cambodia's Sacred Mountain" in the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery of Art from April 2022 through September 2022.
In 2017-2018, Frank edited the independent film "In the Life of Music," which won numerous awards including representing Cambodia in the country's 2018 Oscar submission. He is active in the Los Angeles area film community editing documentaries and promotional content for the Cambodia Town Film Festival in Long Beach, California since its founding. He's edited three documentary feature films, and numerous short films during his career.
Frank graduated from Chapman University with his MFA in Film Editing, where he was mentored by ACE editor, Paul Seydor (White Men Can't Jump, Turner and Hooch, Tin Cup) and was recognized as Best Editor on his graduate thesis, short film "Paulina". He attended TCU for undergrad where he studied Film and got his start in professional filmmaking as a Production Assistant on independent film "Into Temptation" (starring Kristen Chenowith and Jeremy Sisto)
Frank was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, where his passion for filmmaking started with making home movies when he was 8-years old. Currently he is working on behind the scenes content for big studio movies.
