Born and brought up in India, he graduated from the University of
Kashmir with a Master's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. He
spent the initial years of his career in India working as a filmmaker
and TV/Print journalist. He came to USA in 2009 and decided to first
understand the tricks of the trade in a foreign country and polish his
filmmaking skills by enrolling in the University of Cincinnati.
Reloaded and ready, he ventured out again into the big bad, yet
wonderfully exciting world of media. He is a sports fanatic who loves
to watch, debate, argue and discuss different players, teams,
championships and events. An avid sportsperson in his hay days, he now
spends his extra time training his 2-year-old son in outdoor sports
-Soccer, Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball. He has produced, directed,
edited, written and been a part of award-winning short-films,
documentaries, TV shows, news bulletins and music videos. His first
short film was titled Play Safe (2005), revolving around a HIV infected
person and his battles with his decisions. His goal is to produce media
that will have a positive impact on the society and to address social
issues of today and bring them into the limelight. He has more than 9
years of experience as a media professional, but he feels that he has
much more to do in this crazy media world, and he is oh so ready!
