Johanna is originally from New York and moved to California in 1977. She started out as a composer/lyricist and showcasing her songs at the piano on talent night at The Improv, and other clubs around town. Her interests and career took a turn towards acting and she was cast in short films and Independent films. In 2007, she wrote and performed her one woman show "Embraceable Hue", chronicling the true events after being burned in an arson fire. Her most recent film role portrayed a caregiver in "The Killers" a true story based on cryonics; which won for best director at the Rhode Island International Film Festival in August 2019. Soon to premiere in Spring 2022. will be the feature film "Silent Life" , a true impassioned, yet conflicted life story of Rudolph Valentino in which she plays Head Nurse Gertrude.
