Biography

Mitchell Speers was signed by a Hollywood literary agency, after writing his first screenplay. Having not studied film at the time, he sought an education by auditioning for Die Hard II and got a behind the scenes look at the industry that he could not have gotten in the classroom. Speers continued to write and gained the attention of stars like Dustin Hoffman, Richard Pryor, and more and calls from Paul Newman, Bill Cobbs and Disney. After seeing a void in training for crews on independent projects, Speers founded the Michigan Film Alliance, LLC. In recent years, Speers has turned his attention to producing and directing and now heads Feeling October Productions.
