The Irrational -- which airs on NBC -- has received a renewal notice for a sophomore season.

So far, Loki is the only Disney+ Marvel-based series to get a second season, but we're now hearing that a sophomore run for another popular show might be in the cards.

According to Daniel Richtman, a second season of Ms. Marvel is being discussed, but a final decision has not been made.

We have heard that Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) is being position as a major player in the MCU going forward, so a second season of her solo show would make sense. That said, Khan's big-screen debut, The Marvels, massively underperformed, which might well influence Marvel/Disney's decision.

Somewhat controversially for long-time fans of the character, Khan was revealed to be a mutant in the season 1 finale, ret-conning her Inhuman status from the comic books.

While other networks have buckled under the pressure without much original programming this season due to the strikes, NBC's decision to hold these two dramas for the fall is paying off... big time.

The Irrational kicked off in September and stars Jesse L. Martin (The Flash) as Professor Alec Mercer, who uses his skills in human behavior to help cops solve cases.

They're not your typical cases, which has helped the series stand out in a sea of procedurals.

“Found,” which premiered on Oct. 3, follows Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton), a public relations specialist and former kidnapping victim whose crisis management team searches for people who have gone missing. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own. NBC is sticking with Found and The Irrational.

The network has renewed both first-year dramas — one of just a handful of original scripted series to air on a broadcast network this fall — for second seasons. Both shows were developed off-cycle at NBC and thus had a full complement of episodes in the can before strikes by writers and actors led to dozens of productions shutting down in the summer and early fall.

The two series have also performed solidly for NBC: The Irrational, starring Jesse L. Martin, is averaging 6.34 million viewers per episode after seven days of linear viewing, while the Shanola Hampton-led Found clocks in at 5.18 million viewers (not including streaming for either show). They are also the top two broadcast series of the season so far among Black viewers, with Found ranking first.
