Shawn Gerrard is an alumnus of York University's film production and screenwriting program, the Toronto International Film Festival's Filmmaker Lab, Banff Diversity of Voices Pitch Program, and the WBD Access x Canadian Academy Directors Program.
Shawn has directed a number of short films, and one feature film Space & Time (2020). Shawn's films have screened at film festivals including TIFF, Reelworld, Austin Film Festival, and have been broadcast on CBC and Hollywood Suite.
After ten years as a post-production supervisor and post-production producer on series such as Odd Squad (PBS), The Age of Samurai (Netflix) and the Story of Late Night (CNN), Shawn transitioned to directing episodic television in 2021 with credits on Take Note (Peacock), The Next Step (Boat Rocker), Jane (AppleTV+) and Dino Dex (Amazon).
