Nina Helene Hirten is a film editor, director, and singer. She is owner and director of Oh Just Peachy Studios Productions and performs
electronic music under the pseudonym DEROSNEC. Nina was born in New York city and raised in San Francisco. She was trained in classical singing from a young age with her father being a composer and pipe organist, and her mother an opera singer. In high school, Nina created her first demo album, as well as her first short animated film "Eye", which played twice in the Mill Valley Film Festival. From there on she continued to produce her own films, music and videos.
In 2005 she pursued her BFA in Film Production at Ryerson University in Toronto. In 2009 she moved to Vancouver, BC where she continued to work on various indie productions as well as major contracts including LeapFrog and Dreamworks' "Dinotrux" animated series.
In 2015 she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she worked as an editor with previs at The Third Floor, Inc. whilst producing her own content through Oh Just Peachy Studios Productions.
She is an associate member of the Canadian Cinema Editors (CCE), on which she served on the board from 2009-2015.
