Drafted by the Houston Texans in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft out of Michigan, and in the third round of the 1998 Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Yankees. Henson retired from baseball after playing just five games at 3rd base, and hitting .111. He retired from the NFL after playing 7 games in 2004, and 1 game in 2008 at QB.
