Mahmoud Lotfi(I)

Mahmoud Lotfi is an Egyptian cinematographer. He studied cinematography at the High Cinema Institute, Egypt. His debut feature-length film was Heliopolis; he then shot a number of award-winning short and feature fiction films, documentaries and TV series directed by a number of renowned filmmakers including Mohamed Khan, Hala Lotfi, Basel Ramsis, Mohamed Heshky and Dina Hamza. He taught cinematography and lighting at the Cinema School at the Alexandria and Cairo Jesuit for three years, during which he also shot a number of short films by Jesuit alumni and young independent filmmakers as well as video art projects by several visual artists.
