Each year, a select group of Hollywood executives choose films for the "Black List," a roster of the best unproduced screenplays from the previous year. Acclaimed films that once appeared on this list include The Wolf of Wall Street, Slumdog Millionaire, and The Hangover.
Now, AwesomenessTV and Film 360 will bring one of 2013's Black List entries to fruition. The teen-focused entertainment company and the production studio have teamed up to produce Shovel Buddies, which was #8 on the 2013 Black List.
Shovel Buddies, written by Jason Hellerman, follows four teenagers as they attempt to complete the bucket list of a friend who has died of leukemia. "Along the way," reads a press release, "they learn more about themselves, their own relationships and the true meaning of friendship."
Film 360 initially approached Big Frame, the talent management company owned by Big Frame, with a plan to create a version of Shovel Buddies based around teenage digital stars.

On the 3rd and 4th of May the Empire cinema in Leicester Square will play host to the British Independent Film Festival and the Film Festival Guild have today announced the list of nominations for their annual awards.
With a keen understanding of the often London-centric nature of celebrations of UK Independent film both the feature films and the series of shorts are playing in eleven cinemas across the country over the month of May. This is a welcome state of affairs, one which the London Film Festival embraced last year with a similar nationwide programme, and it should enable the films and the filmmakers to reach a far wider audience.

I was having an argument with myself yesterday on the way home from work. It got quite heated. I was assessing the length of time it takes me to get home, and thus attempting to gauge roughly how much free time I would have before sleep stole me away for the night. I realised that it was perfectly possible to estimate the journey to a fairly accurate time-frame: between 50 and 54 minutes. That means that, leaving work at bang on six like any other dispassionate employee, I must arrive home between 6:50 and 6:54. The automatic reaction to this was to simply round up to 7 o’clock. And surely this is the normal thing to do? I wasn’t exactly going to say “right, its 6:54 now and I’ll probably hit the sack around midnight, so that gives me 5 hours and 6 minutes of free time”. That would be absurd. Rounding...
