Tracy Lee Staton was born in Lynchburg, Virginia. She grew up in Buena
Vista, VA where she resides. She had a love for movies at an early age.
Tracy got her first video camera, a VHS camcorder, at the age of 13.
She and her friends would interview each other on camera and perform
skits. Tracy attended Parry McCluer High School in Buena Vista, VA. She
received her B.A. in Film and also graduated with departmental honors
in Film from the private girls school Hollins University in Roanoke,
VA. Tracy began writing short stories in her early teens and began
making short films in 2005. She works the independent movie scene with
other indie filmmakers and loves and supports indie film.
Tracy loves to write screenplays and direct as well as help her fellow filmmakers in their productions. She is the creator, producer and host of the college radio show 'Lipstick & Leather' at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA. The show is dedicated to 80s hair metal music, which she is a huge fan of. She is an aspiring filmmaker with a creative mind and lots of passion and dedication.
