Heather Kenyon is a producer and partner at Citizen Skull, a production and management company, where she also helms Citizen Kids, their children's media division. Her recent producing credits include the Emmy-winning documentary "Street Gang: How We Got To Sesame Street" for HBO Films, theatrical documentary "Only in Theaters" (now available on Amazon) and Netflix's "Bee & Puppycat". She is also a co-creator of "Deepa & Anoop" for Mattel and Netflix, which won four 2023 Kidscreen Awards and was nominated again in 2024 for "Best Inclusivity". Unscripted television shows created and sold are "Mother of the Bride" (SliceTV) and "Pond Stars" (National Geographic Wild).
Heather began her career at Hanna-Barbera Cartoons and then Cartoon Network, where she ultimately ran all animated and live-action series development for kids 6-12. After a year of working in China and Brazil, she went on to Starz Animation Toronto, producer of such films as Focus Features' "9" and Elton John's "Gnomeo and Juliet", as their Vice-President, Project Development & Sales. It's from here, she moved to Citizen Skull, working on live-action features, documentaries and unscripted content, as well as launching their children's media division, Citizen Kids.
Heather is the U.S. representative for the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and was just named the 2024 Mentor for Stories X Women, a collaboration of WIA & FIAPF, to foster opportunities for diverse female creators. Kenyon graduated magna cum laude with a BFA from the Filmic Writing Program at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts.
