- Toeplitz helped to found and was the first rector The World Famous Polish Film School in Lodz. Toeplitz is credited with devising the structure and syllabus for training many of the world's finest film directors including Roman Polanski, Andrzej Wajda and Jerzy Skolimowski.
Also worked in England with his uncle Ludovico Toplitz in 1935 on "The Loves of a Dictator" with Clive Brook and The Beloved Vagabond with Maurice Chevalier in 1936.
