Isabel Penoni is a theater director, filmmaker, and anthropologist, as of 2016 she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Musée du quai-Branly (Paris, France). Isabel develops creative and research projects in communities of the urban outskirts of Rio de Janeiro and among various indigenous populations around the world. She is the founder and director of Cia Marginal Theater Company and has directed the plays "Eles não usam tênis naique" (2015), "In_Trânsito" (2013), "Ô,Lili" (2011), and "Qual é a nossa cara?" (2007). In cinema, Isabel directed "Porcos Raivosos" (10', Director's Fortnigth 2012), presented and awarded at several festivals, and Abigail (17', Director's Fortnigth 2016).
