- As a struggling actress living in New York, Kristen couldn't afford to see all the wonderful theater the city had to offer. She was thrilled when she found out that you could volunteer usher at the Roundabout Theater, among others, and afterwards they would let you stay and watch the show for free.
- Starred in Discovering Jacob (2004), about a family's struggle to deal with loss in the aftermath of 9/11, which won the 2010 Stay Tuned Television Award for Best Documentary/Reenactment.

- In order to play a husband and wife assassin team with Anthony Ray Parker in Way of the Game (2005), Kristen learned how to shoot a gun and work a punching bag.
