Biography

Julio Vincent Gambuto is a moviemaker and author whose work blends heartfelt storytelling with sharp humor. His debut feature, TEAM MARCO (Samuel Goldwyn), won Best Family Feature and the Audience Award (Family) at the Mill Valley Film Festival and is streaming in 20+ countries. He previously wrote/produced PARADISE RUN (Nickelodeon/Stone & Company) and has created content for The New Yorker, PBS, and E! Entertainment. A skilled comedian, Julio has performed nationwide, and his viral essays on Medium have reached over 21 million readers in 98 countries. He is the author of PLEASE UNSUBSCRIBE, THANKS! (Simon & Schuster), recently the Barnes & Noble "Pick of the Month," now available in five languages. He will be speaking this year at SXSW. Julio holds an MFA from USC's School of Cinematic Arts and a BA from Harvard University.
