Oscar Alexander Diaz was born in Miami, Florida on January 28, 1972.
His parents arrived in Miami from Cuba in the early 1960s fleeing
Castro's revolution. Oscar attended Christopher Columbus High School in
Miami. Upon graduation he traveled the world doing various jobs
including laying fiber optics in Azerbaijan.
Upon returning to Miami Oscar gravitated to his first love entertainment. In 2001, Oscar became an editor at the Univision Network for the #1 rated Spanish language morning show Despierta America. While working on Despierta America, Oscar was trained in improv comedy by comedian Fernando Arau. This has led to recurring roles on the show, in which he has co-stared with world renowned actors such as, Rossario, John Leguizamo, Will Smith and many others.
Along with his work at Univision, he honed his acting craft by staring and producing independent films, such as Do Do Rings and Mysteries of the Opposite Sex. Diaz has been the recipient of several awards including Best Actor at the Miami Film Race 2007 and Best Actor at the Miami Underground Film Festival in 2008.
His hobbies include fishing, Surfing and cooking.
