Jared Voss is an American actor and filmmaker, born in Boston and raised in Salem, Massachusetts. He studied film at Boston University before earning a BFA in acting, and has since performed extensively on stage and screen. He played John Kaufman in Best Picture Oscar winner CODA (2021), and investigative-reporter Roger Pullmocker in the Showtime series Brotherhood (2006). New York stage credits include the title roles in "MacBeth" and "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea", and in Boston, Jared originated the role of Long Jack in the world premiere of the Israel Horovitz play "Captains and Courage".
Jared works behind the camera as a writer, director, producer, and editor on narrative and documentary films. And he devotes time to producing videos for nonprofits, educational institutions, and human rights advocacy groups.
Jared is also a musician, songwriter, and singer. He has played guitar since he was ten years old, and has performed and recorded as a solo artist and with several bands, in genres ranging from folk-rock to punk-metal. He has toured internationally and composed music for films and stage productions.
