Lara Lukich is an actor, director and creative content producer. She grew up in the outback opal mining town of Andamooka, where her parents settled after emigrating from Europe. In the '70s, the remote community had no television reception; they did, however, have a Community Hall and a local Drive-In, where her father worked as the projectionist. Through this exposure to film, Lara developed a love for movies and storytelling, later pursuing her creative interests by studying graphic art and drama. Moving to Perth, Lara played the lead in 100 Degrees and Love Me, Love My... before producing and acting in a successful run of the musical Lonesome Cowgirls. During her time in Vancouver, Lara was a contributing writer and story editor on the pilot episode of Last Chance Casting, and director/producer on First Class Heist & The DuChamps School of Acting. Other acting credits include Superman Returns, Baleful and The Sand That Ate The Sea. On her return to Australia, Lara directed and produced the documentary Opal Freedom, a teaser for Macbeth and Grey Nomads, a tourism promotion for the outback town of Andamooka. Lara is developing a slate of projects with her producing partners at Cinematica Films.
