Gray Madder was born in Alaska in 1977. He was raised by his mother, although
he spent his childhood summers alone in the woods and then later with
the local fishermen. His father was a member of the Hell's Angels. He
came to New York in 2000 and became one of the last members of Lori
Eastside's "The Eastsiders" (some other members included Sam Lisenco,
Michael Pitt, Rodrigo Lopresti, Alexis Dziena, Ryan Donowho, and
Francis Benhamou.) Gray also formed the group "Lower 48," a punk rock
band that is still in formation today and has become a late-night
fixture at CBGB's. The band's influences include "The Misfits" and "The
Hermitt." Gray lives in the Bronx with the Brothers Grimm, the
guitarist and bassist of "Lower 48," and their pet wolf, Shiri.
