Adam Lazzara was born in Sheffield, Alabama, but later relocated to North Carolina. After joining Taking Back Sunday (originally to play bass) he moved to Long Island, New York. He is currently the lead vocals in Taking Back Sunday, who just returned from a US headlining tour in summer 2006.

Before joining the band, Adam was working as a waiter, as well as delivering deli food to a store where band mate Eddie Reyes worked.
