Ufc on Fox 12 had a fair number of big names spread throughout its card: Robbie Lawler, Matt Brown, Anthony Johnson, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (a.k.a. Lil Nog). Bobby Green, Josh Thompson, and Clay Guida are all guys who are capable of headlining or co-headlining an event, and all of them were packed onto the main card last night.
Some fighters, like Lawler and Thompson, are still cashing in on Strikeforce contracts, while others, like Brown and Guida, have worked their way up through the Ufc ranks to get to the point where they can earn a decent wage.
A number of fighters went home happy even in defeat, while others, despite hefty win bonuses, might not have banked what you would expect for a top draw.
Payouts in the Ufc are always an interesting situation, since so much depends on how good a contract an agent can procure for a fighter,...

On a few occasions, many writers have labeled a Ufc event on Fox as the best card of the year on paper. We heard it for Ufc on Fox 5 and just recently for Ufc on Fox 11. Now the Ufc is on their twelfth show for Fox and it’s being considered as the best card on paper. That is completely understandable given the matchups on the card.
Besides Michael Johnson, no injuries have derailed this card unlike past Fox events. It will be headlined by a number one contender’s bout in the welterweight division between Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown. I’m ecstatic that the Ufc is using Fox to showcase number one contender fights in popular divisions. That is the best way to keep fans interested, if you can’t have a title fight on the card.
Anthony Johnson is back to face the returning Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

Live from San Jose, California, Ufc on Fox 12 (though it’s still being called Fight Night by the Ufc, it’s a Ufc on Fox event) features the billed main event of Robbie Lawler vs. Matt “The Immortal” Brown, a welterweight title eliminator which will determine who meets champion Johny Hendricks in the octagon later this year.
In a co-main event that also holds possible title implications, recently returned light heavyweight Anthony “Rumble” Johnson meets “Lil Nog” – Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. It’s new breed against old guard in this bout, and it might not last long.
Rounding out the four-fight main card are matches between the popular Clay Guida against Dennis Bermudez, and Josh Thompson versus Bobby Green, in his first fight back since the murder of his younger brother. Whether Green can keep his focus in the cage remains to be seen, but it will no doubt be an...

Last time Quinton "Rampage" Jackson lost a fight in the Octagon (a July 2008 war with Forrest Griffin) all hell broke loose. Fueled by energy drinks, a lack of sleep, and God knows what else, Rampage led police on a high speed chase through the streets and even onto the sidewalks of Costa Mesa and Newport Beach, California. After a three round shellacking at the hands of Rashad Evans, I hope someone has Rampage's keys.
The two Ultimate Fighter coaches feuded for almost an entire calendar year, including several tense face-to-face confrontations that seemed on the brink of becoming physical. After all the banter and promises of epic levels of violence, the actual fight was a strategic and strangely clinical affair. Evans used his speed and superior athleticism to avoid Jackson's power shots and take the former champion to the mat at will.

The first official look at The Expendables has hit the net. Running at over three minutes, the preview shows a plethora of action and a handful of comedy mixed in with the gore and violence. The upcoming 2010 action film, written and directed by Sylvester Stallone pays tribute to the blockbuster action films during the 1980s and early '90s. The plot follows a team of the world's most dangerous and highly-trained mercenaries who go on a mission to South America to overthrow and assassinate a powerful, evil dictator and his army, who have been causing devastation, chaos and torture for the last twenty years. Producer Avi Lerner has reported that the film will be cut down to two versions, a PG-13-rating edit and an R-rated version, both of which will be screen tested to see which one will be officially released. However what's really attracting attention is its all star cast listed below.

The cast list on Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables is becoming a ridiculous list of B-list film stars as Brittany Murphy and David Zayas are the latest to join the cast not to mention the casting of mixed martial arts stars Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and his twin brother Antonio Rogerio Nogueira as announced by Moviehole the other day. The film was written, will be directed and stars Stallone along with Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture and follows a team of mercenaries who head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator. There's no word on what roles the Nogueira brothers were offered, but The Hollywood Reporter says Murphy will play Mickey Rourke's girlfriend, a singer. The part calls for her to perform a musical number. Zayas will play the dictator. If you are wondering if Murphy can pull off the singing...

The movie "The Expendables" is becoming filled with more and more action packed stars ever week. Sylvester Stallone has now added a couple of mixed martial artists into the movie, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, who are twin brothers, and better known in the Mma world as The Nogueira Brothers.Sly has also put a lot of interest into the undefeated Lyoto "Dragon" Machida, who is known for his very awkward style of fighting (Karate) in the Ufc. Lyoto is the read deal, and could probably wipe out the entire cast by himself. This movie is going to have so many big names in it, and filled with so much action, that there is absolutely no way this will not be a hit. You saw it here first, Yes, I'm calling this one!Do you think it will succeed?...
