Anna Brockett is a London UK based, long standing member of the Animation Industry, working as a professional animator and storyboard artist on feature films, TV series, commercials and her own animation Shorts; Newsflash, Ms Moon, Tuberage, Strike9 and most recently, Leaf_F.
Her new company: Zed Minus A.B.Films Ltd, aims to bring the most innovative 2D/3D animation TV and Film projects, to screen.
On leaving Falmouth School of Art with a BA in Fine Art and an award winning experimental film, Anna set out to develop her classical animation skills working up close with the greats such as: Richard Williams - Director "Roger Rabbit", Eric Goldberg - Director "Aladdin" and "Princess and the Frog", Oscar Grillo and Bob Godfrey. Time to diversify. Hired as a Designer/Animator on Pink Floyd stage shows: "Wish you Were Here" and "The Wall." And music videos from; Frankie Goes to Hollywood and "Rio" Duran Duran to "Changes" David Bowie and Queen "Innuendo". Her experimental animated Short "Newsflash" had its debut at Annecy Film Festival. She designed and animated commercials for Budweiser, Fortis Bank, Sanyo, and Argos. Whatever commercial job Anna undertakes she tries to fulfill the brief but add a little Director's inspiration. After all, that might be why the client hired her. She worked as an animator on TV series for BBC and other major TV stations: "Rhoobarb and Custard", "Albie", "BB3B", "Tommy Zoom", "Billy and Mandy", "Johnny Test". And storyboard artist on: "Stressed Eric", "Dennis and Gnasher", "Tiny Planets", "Metalheads". She was hired as a character animator on popular film UK favorites including: "The Victor", "Freddie as FRO7", "Prince Cinders", "Wind in The Willows", "Le Chateau des Singes", "Bebe's Kids". She's illustrated for international Magazines such as Company, Vanity Fair and Vogue and drawn preproduction sketches and layouts for advertising campaigns. Commercial work has helped finance Anna's own experimental animation films and paintings. It can work both ways though: "Ms Moon", a successful Short she made, toured the World Animation Festival circuit from Edinburgh to L.A to Japan and all points in between. And expanded her list of adventurous clients exponentially. When digital experimenter John Lasseter directed "Toy Story" at Pixar 1995, he ensured that Animation maintained its innovative stance in the technological revolution. Now 3D is everywhere, future looking into VR and AR interactivity and re imagining Live Action with Motion Capture for Event movies like "Avatar". Anna is now animating 2 1/2 D in TB Harmony and mixing it up with 3D and VFX. She has been variously hired by Nickelodeon to invent original characters and animate them for Station Idents. And Cartoon Network to create a TV Channel Rebrand for their popular Toonami Channel and TV Title Sequences. Continuing her own projects with a recently completed series of experimental digital paintings, "London Paintings". The city reflects the ever-changing moods of its inhabitants. And more experimental Shorts: "Strike 9", "Tuberage" and most recently "Leaf_F".
In development, Anna has an animated TV series for teens and tweens; Drama, Animation, Science, which she is now promoting through her new company. Coming Soon...
