Raquel Amegashie

Raquel Amegashie is a versatile Spanish actress, singer and songwriter. She has been cast in several national and international series, films and theatrical productions. Her recent works include a supporting role in the series 'The Witcher', 'La Sala' and 'Hierro'.
Born in Navarra to a Spanish mother and a Liberian father, she was raised bilingually in both English and Spanish and in addition to her mother tongues she also speaks French and German.
Raquel grew up in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and at the age of 17 moved to Málaga to attend the University of Málaga and enrolled the drama school at ESAD a year later. She successfully graduated with two bachelor's degrees in Audiovisual Communication and Dramatic Arts. As an undergraduate student she combined her studies working with the Acuario theatre company and auditioned and earned her first supporting role in the series Arrayán. Short after completing this project she moved to Madrid to pursue a full-time acting career.
To this date, Raquel has starred in various theatrical productions and musicals such as 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame', 'Round Trip' and 'R x J' besides having performed at a variety of festivals including WOMAD (2018 and 2019) and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival (2018), festival she also hosted and starred two of the nominated short films.
Current recording her debut album to be released in 2020.
She is represented by Ruth Franco talent agency.
