Leonardo has worked in more than a dozen feature films, among which are "Güeros" and "Museo", both directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios, as well as "Amores modernos (Modern Loves)" by Matías Meyer, "My Tender Torero (Tengo miedo matador)" by Chilean Rodrigo Sepúlveda, "El club de los Insomnes", directed by José Eduardo Giordano and Sergio Goyri Jr., and "¿Conoces a Tomás? (Do you know Tomas)?" by María Torres.
Leonardo began his theater career working for some of the most important and prolific directors on the Mexican scene, and after more than 20 years on the Mexican stage, some of his most recognized work has been "Hamlet", directed by Flavio González Mello, "Obsesión" by Enrique Singer, "Salomé", "Ricardo Tercero", "Measure for measure" and "Romeo and Juliet", by director Mauricio García Lozano, and "Tom on the Farm" for Boris Schoeman.
