In just a few weeks, Jerry O’Connell, Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and Natalie Morales will soon say goodbye to the CBS talk show.

However, before they sign off, the hosts are pulling out all the stops to go out with a bang and give fans an entertaining time.

That includes the upcoming Halloween episode.

For the next five years, whenever Florida International University’s football players step into their stadium, they’ll be reminded of Mr. 305 himself: Pitbull. The rapper has locked into a deal with the Miami-based academic institution that grants him naming rights to its football stadium for the price of $1.2 million per year, as well as some social obligations. Beginning this fall, the location will officially be renamed Pitbull Stadium.

“What we’re doing here is groundbreaking. We’re making history. This is history in the making,” Pitbull shared, per ESPN.

Mr. 305 is putting his money where his mouth is.

Miami native and outspoken local booster Pitbull made a deal Tuesday to put his name on the 20,000-seat stadium at Florida International University.

Billed as the “world’s first-ever athletics venue with an artist possessing the naming rights,” the deal pays Fiu $6 million over what’s being widely reported at five years. A statement from the school, however, says the term is 10 years.

“This partnership with Fiu is a true honor and a testament to what we can achieve when we work hard,” said Pitbull (née Armando Christian Perez). “Renaming the stadium isn’t just about a name change. It’s about inspiring the community, creating opportunities and showing the world that with determination and a clear vision, anything is possible. We’re making history together, and we’re just getting started. Why dream when you can live it?”

The Miami rapper announced a five-year deal for the naming rights to Fiu Stadium on Tuesday (August 6th), which stipulates he will pay the school $1.2 million per year for the length of the agreement. Mr. 305 will also be able to host 10 events per year at the stadium rent-free, including concerts.

Per ESPN, the deal — which has an option for five more years — will also require Pitbull to record a new Fiu anthem, post about the school a dozen times every year, and appear at one athletics fundraising event per year. Seems reasonable.

Fiu Stadium opened in 1995 and has a 20,000-seat capacity. Originally known as Fiu Community Stadium, it was renamed Ocean Bank Field at Fiu Stadium from 2001 to 2017 and Riccardo Silva Stadium from 2017 to 2022.

A Jamaican court of appeals declined Wednesday to retry Vybz Kartel after the dancehall star’s 2014 murder conviction was overturned earlier this year, making Kartel a free man after a decade in prison.

Shondaland’s Regency-era romance now has three, with Season 3 pushing down Baby Reindeer to enter the list at No. 10 with 91.90 million views half-way through its initial 91-day window. It joins Season 1, which is at No. 4 with 113.30M views and Season 2 at No. 9 with 93.80M views.

A more accurate comparison for C,Xoxo might be that of an adolescent impersonating an adult—the adult, in this case, being Charli Xcx, whose ditzy Auto-Tuned vocals are shamelessly copied at the start of “Chanel No.5”—and mistaking mimicry for mastery. This could also explain the album’s juvenile fascination with swear words and sexual innuendo, pushed to cringe-inducing extremes on “June Gloom”.

One of the things that sets Bridgerton apart from other period pieces is the way it doesn't try to fit into the constraints of historical accuracy. The universe, complete with Ariana Grande, Madonna, and Pitbull instrumental covers and blind casting for all the major roles, was set up from the beginning.

While some people find the show to be too modern, that is exactly what fans love about it. And while they sometimes wish the show would tone down the unrealistic makeup and costumes, overall they are happy with Bridgerton just the way it is. Fortunately, the writers have no plans to change anything.

While fans have gone wild over the Pitbull cover in “Bridgerton” Season 3’s climactic carriage scene, showrunner Jess Brownell admitted she was “nervous” to see the audience response.

“I picked the Pitbull song and I was a little nervous, because it’s an unusual choice that it might take people out of the scene,” Brownell told TheWrap. “But it’s been so wonderful to see that people have taken to it, that actually it’s given that scene even more depth.”

Brownell added that she knew the carriage scene — which features a steamy, intimate moment between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) after Colin confesses his romantic feelings for his longtime friend — was strong, admitting she “had a good feeling that people were going to respond to it.”

That’s when she decided to layer Pitbull’s 2011 hit “Give Me Everything” over the scene, sending “Bridgerton” fans...
