Ben O'Connor is an award winning filmmaker whose films have been screened on television and at film festivals across Europe. His debut feature film Ana Begins (2009) toured the European festival circuit winning numerous awards and accolades including Best Actor at the London Independent Film Festival and Best Actress at British Independent Film Festival. It was also nominated for Best UK Debut at London's East End Film Festival.
Over the past 15 years Ben has been directing and editing fiction films, campaign films, short documentaries, music videos and live performance films working with Rufus Wainwright, Ken Loach, Tom Hardy to name a few. Ben also specialises in films for charities (Amnesty International, Greenpeace, Crisis, Macmillan Cancer Trust) using his skills as a film director and editor to bring an emotional maturity and storytelling ability to an often sensitive subject matter.
Since 2006 Ben has run the film production company Feature One with producer Edward Tull. They are currently in post production with his second feature film The Owl of Minerva.
