Is the Curator of the Estate of producer/director/animator George Pal and the author of his upcoming official biography, "George Pal: Man of Tomorrow." When the New Mexico Museum of Space inducted Pal into its Space Hall of Fame, Humphreys accepted the award on Pal's family's behalf at their request.

When a movie theater in producer/director George Pal's hometown in Hungary was to be named after Pal in 2018, Humphreys was sent by Pal's son to represent them at the ceremony and give a talk on Pal's life and work.

In 2017, while working for Bonhams Auctions, Humphreys cataloged the original Robby the Robot from "Forbidden Planet" (1957), which sold for $5.3 million and set the World Record for the most expensive movie prop to ever sell at auction.
