- Graduating from James Cook University in Performing Arts sometime last century, Perri was lucky enough to work with the wonderful Jean Pierre Voos as a founding member of Tropic Line Theatre Company and worked with the company for over six years. Her highlights include meeting the cellist for original production of Elephant Man while performing in the same play. Walking on stage as Jean Harlow in the beautiful and completely obscene beat play The Beard, emoting in Ancient Greek standing on the back of a human chariot as Cassandra in Agamemnon and being at the mercy of the audience in the experimental Broken Glass. With Tropic Line Perri performed in countless contemporary, classic and devised works collaborating with several well known national companies including Dance North and Tas Dance (at that time run by the delightful and massively talented Richard Allen and Karen Pearlman). As soon as she moved to Melbourne Perri started Gorgeous Productions, playing roles in The Beard, Futz, Francis Kiss, Vagabonds, Last Post as well as adapting and performing the Kafka short story Report to the Academy.
Moving on to Shakespeare, Perri has worked for two touring outdoor companies Australian Shakespeare Company and Ozact, playing Cordelia/Fool in King Lear, Hermia/First Fairy/Wall, in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Head Witch/Lady Macduff in Macbeth. And she donned the furry pants to play the endearingly nervous and shy clean freak - Mole in The Wind in the Willows.
She has done her fair share of television guest roles, the most memorable being in Neighbours where She played her own brother's sister. Perri has also been writing for Neighbours since studying screen writing at RMIT. Perri has several projects in development.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Perri Cummings - One half of the award winning independent film production company Cinema Viscera, working alongside her partner Paul Anthony Nelson.
