Acie Mitchell is an undeniable force to be reckoned with in Hollywood and is a ubiquitously handsome action star who's been bursting onto the martial arts film scene since 2008.
Acie was born in Okeechobee, FL and raised in Miami to Barbara Mitchell, an accountant and CFO. This dynamic actor commenced his martial arts training after Desert Storm where he served in the Navy under an old schooled aikido brute of a sensei in the early 90s. He later continued his aikido training under well-known, Professor Phillip Chenique and while under the instruction of Jorge Angulo where he received his 3rd dan from Tenshin Dojo. After many years of honing his aikido skills, he became a corrections officer, reserve SWAT police officer, and police academy High Liability Instructor/Coordinator teaching: Crew Member Self Defense instructor/FAMs, LEO deftac, firearms, and vehicle operations at MDCSOJ. For nearly a decade, he's trained 10s of thousands of LEOs in those tactics including creating, developing, and pioneering his own self-defense/deftac system B.L.A.S.T. (Breakthru Legit Assault Survival Tactics) which integrates aikido, krav maga/Haganah, LEOdeftac, and IDF military guerrilla tactics at the ILEETA conferences during the early 2010s. Acie also studied under Isreali Special Forces Commander Mike Lee Kanarek where he was certified to teach F.I.G.H.T. (Fierce Isreali Guerilla Hand-to-Hand Tactics), ITK (Isreali Tactical Knife), and GS (Ground Survival) all of which is the paradigm that spawned his complete systems of B.L.A.S.T., S.L.A.S.H., C.A.R.S., G.E.T.UP, and F.I.R.E. Most notably, is his recent induction into the NBLA martial arts Hall of Fame becoming a Professor by his sensei, Professor/Grandmaster Mahaliel Bethea of the 52 Blocks Federation. With these particular set of skills, Acie has transcended LEO work and now works as a celebrity bodyguard with such clients like Young Pharaoh Aten while he still continues his acting journey to the big screen in Hollywood.
