Chip began his acting career as a stand-in for Carey Elwes in the Ed Zwick directed, Glory. Chip also specializes in headshot photography. He co-owns First City Films in Savannah, GA with Angelique Chase.
Chip appears as a police officer in a 2014 Superbowl ad that went viral.
Chip was raised in Savannah, by his mother the first Physicians Assistant in Savannah, and father, Savannah's most popular child psychologist.
