Javier Rodero was born on Nov 21st, 1977 in Barcelona, Spain. He is a composer, known for is work on Ghost Graduation (2012), Three Many Weddings (2013) and Spy Time (2015).
Rodero attended the ESCAC Film Academy in Barcelona - Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya- from which he graduated in Editing and Post Production in 2001. Well known for his musical cinematic ways, during his studies he provided music for the short films of his classmates. After graduating, and for several years, he worked as an editor and composing music mainly for advertising and documentaries.
In 2012, given his musical and film training, coupled with his 15 years experience as a film editor and propelled by his mastery of the film language, Rodero went on to pursue a career in film scoring. His first film, Ghost Graduation (Javier Ruiz Caldera 2012, 20th Century Fox), was characterized by electronic sounds and experimental synthesizers combined with stringed instruments and percussion. His next film, Tres Bodas de Más (Javier Ruiz Caldera 2013, Warner Bros), was more varied in styles and instrumentation. Rodero's most recent work, Anacleto: Agente Secreto (Javier Ruiz Caldera 2015, Warner Bros), a spy/action comedy, is a step forward in terms of composition and orchestration: sixty symphonic minutes in which a classical instrumentation coexists with seventies' grooves, synthetic textures and powerful basses.
