On 7 December 2017, while he was on holiday in Viterbo, he was arrested for having attacked his ex-girlfriend, damaged a hotel room and resisted a public official and was tried in a summary trial.

He rose to fame in 2015 when he played the boss Manfredi Anacleti, one of the main antagonists in the film Suburra , directed by Stefano Sollima ; he reprised this role in the television series of the same name based on the film, which began in 2017 and is produced by Netflix .
