Chris Sergi is a highly experienced film producer, with over two decades in the independent feature film industry. Throughout his career, he has produced an array of successful projects across various platforms, genres, and mediums, consistently bringing compelling stories to life.
One of his early milestones came with his first Producer credit on Pastor Brown, which set viewership records upon its release and starred a rising Michael B. Jordan. Chris has also ventured into the world of non-scripted television, creating and developing original content for channels such as TLC, Destination America, and LMN.
In recent years, Chris has continued his streak of success, producing a variety of acclaimed projects. These include the sports documentary Portal, a supernatural thriller starring Ryan Merriman, Jamie Tisdale, Myk Watford, and Heather Langenkamp, as well as the BET+ scripted series A Luv Tale: The Series, based on the celebrated short film. This project featured a star-studded cast, including Vanessa Williams, Rotimi, and Victor Williams, with an original score by Wyclef Jean.
Chris also served as Executive Producer on the dark thriller I'm Just Fcking With You*, a collaboration with Blumhouse that premiered at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival and was well-received following its Hulu release. He has further expanded his portfolio with A Wounded Fawn, a genre-defying film that garnered critical acclaim and achieved a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes after its release on AMC+/Shudder.
In Fall 2024, Chris produced the horror-comedy Crust, directed by Sean Whalen, which had a successful limited theatrical run via Anchor Bay Entertainment. He is currently in pre-production for the horror-thriller Swipe, also directed by Whalen, and in the final development stages for the psychological thriller The Looming, set to star Elaine Hendrix and Pej Vahdat, with production slated for Spring 2025.
