Gaurav Madan(II)

Gaurav Madan is a Writer, Director and Producer. Gaurav did his Masters in Communication Studies from University of Pune and arrived in Bombay to make Films. After assisting Shashank Ghosh (Quick Gun Murugun) and Raja Menon (BarahAana) he started working as a freelance ad Film director. Gaurav has produced and directed many TV and digital commercials. In 2014, one of Gaurav's feature Film scripts 'Shaktipur Crude' was a part of prestigious Sundance script lab. Since then he has been a part of many writer's rooms and has been a semi-finalist in Cinestaan Storytellers 2017 and 2018. His 2017 short Film 'Sambhavtaha' (Probably) travelled to more than 50 national and international Film festivals including IDSFFK, MAMI and Kolkata International Film Festival and won numerous awards including Best Director, Best Writer and Best Short Film for Gaurav Madan. The film released on Zee5 in May 2020. Gaurav's debut feature film Barah by Barah travelled to more than 40 film festivals around the globe. It won the 'Best Director' award at Pune International Film Festival and Grand Prix for Best Film 2021 at FIPRESCI India. His second feature film script Kanda Vanda was a part of NFDC Filmcity Script Lab and West meets East Screenplay Lab which is a part of Dhaka IFF.
