Here’s your first official look at Gina Carano, the star of Steven Soderbergh’s spy-actioner “Haywire” (formerly “Knockout”), packing an Uzi and making a mean face as she sprays, one presumes, some bad dudes who had it coming. The plot has Carano playing Mallory Kane, a black ops spy who is double crossed and left for dead, forcing the gal to use all of her deadly skills to exact revenge on the men responsible. The Burbank International Film Festival heads into the home stretch with a full day of screenings and seminars. Here's a run down of today's events.

Films are being shown at the AMC 6 from noon to 11:00 Pm with several features including the Best Feature nominee, Becoming Eduardo and Pedaco de Papel (Piece of Paper) and blocks of dark comedy shorts, rom-com shorts, drama shorts, and music videos.

The last day of seminars also concludes today at Video Symphony from 4:00 to 8:00 Pm.

"Red Dawn" has a comedian. Jeffrey Dean Morgan of "Watchmen" fame is apparently in final talks to join the cast of MGM/UA's remake of the 1984 teen war drama "Red Dawn." He would join Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Josh Peck, Adrianne Palicki, Brett Cullen, Connor Cruise, Edwin Hodge, Alyssa Diaz and Julian Alcaraz. The original John Milius film which starred Patrick Swayze, C. Thomas Howell and Charlie Sheen. The story told of World War III breaking out and Russia invading the U.S. A group of Colorado teenagers fled to the mountains, creating the "Wolverines" and making life for the invaders quite annoying.
