Rip brings quality horror entertainment from indie filmmakers around the world. This year will include the "Bloody Doll Awards" to celebrate the empowerment of women working in the business for the advancement of the horror genre.

Film synopsis: After a ballet school's prima ballerina (Mindy Robinson) gets shot at by beautifully psychotic fellow dancer, Nisa (Sydney Raye), the whole company's on edge. Classes continue, shrouded in fear, while Nisa remains at large.

I have been following the career of exploitation filmmaker Jared Masters for quite awhile now, and he seems to be on a real roll, because earlier this year I wrote that Deadly Punkettes was his best film to date, but just over six months later I have to revise that statement. Club Lingerie is Jared Masters' best film.

Jared Masters is a filmmaker whose work is inspired by the nudie cutie movies of the late sixties and early seventies, and most heavily inspired by the work of Doris Wishman. The Director once told me that Wishman's film Nude on the Moon is the movie that first made him want to become a filmmaker.

I have always wondered why, with all the horror festivals in La, there isn't a dedicated science fiction film festival in the city. Well, I now have to wonder no longer, because on August 9th I attended a cool science fiction film fest, The Galactic Film Festival, a presentation of The Academy of Film Festivals, the same institution that brought us last year's horror oriented Rip Film Festival.
