Donnie Yen reveals how a change in the script for his latest feature, The Prosecutor, allowed for him to reunite with one of his Ip Man co-stars. Yen, who has previously portrayed Chirrut Imwe in 2016's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and High Table assassin Caine in John Wick: Chapter 4, is best known for playing Ip Man in the movie series of the same name focused on the Wing Chun master. The Prosecutor sees Yen portraying a public prosecutor going to great lengths to defend his client, by any means necessary.
When speaking to Screen Rant, Yen opened up about how one notable casting choice for The Prosecutor almost never came to pass due to the movie's original script. Yen revealed that originally, Kent Cheng's Bao Ding was envisioned as a younger character to better fit the dynamic. However, Yen reconsidered once he felt that an older actor...

Fourth film by Kathy Meng, following “Elite Match”, “Willow and Wu” is a film shot in NYC, which has won the award for Best Screenplay at 27th Brooklyn Film Festival.
Willow and Wu review is part of the Submit Your Film Initiative
The film begins with a rather intense scene, where Waley seems to be breaking up with a girl through a video call. The girl's cries following the call cements the fact, while the next scene has her, Willow, in an obviously depressed state receiving a call from Mrs Wu, her boss, insisting that she comes to her house right away. It turns out that although she is her assistant, Willow has to help her husband this time. Mr Wu wants to be filmed on a script his wife wrote and wants Willow to handle the recording. With her not having prior experience and being quite anxious, things do not go exactly smoothly.

Following the two-hour “Auditions 2” episode of “America’s Got Talent” season 19 on June 4, we asked You, “Who was your favorite act?” Among the contestants that performed for the judges were five-year-old drummer Chrisyius Whitehead, band Ashes & Arrows, balancing act Hakuna Matata Acrobatic, dancer Alex Zinger, classically trained musicians The Otama Collective, Chinese instrument player NiNi, acrobatics Cata & Jay, Japanese dance group Sabrina, baton twirler Phillip Lewis, and danger trick act Bao Cuong.
Based on your votes in our Auditions 2 poll, danger act and illusionist Bao Cuong was your favorite with over 48% popularity. In his performance, Bao was able to show Simon Cowell something he’s never sen before: giant scissors put into a human body. For that reason, Simon thought Bao delivered something “incredible,” and even if Sofia Vergara was hesitant to setting herself up to see such a hard-to-watch act again, she joined the other judges in a unanimous vote...

Charli Xcx started to think about what it would be like to have a baby. The 31-year-old has always been an artist of extremes, a main character thriving on an emotional and creative knife edge. But the timing wasn’t about craving novelty, on this occasion. She’s now in her thirties and in a happy relationship of equals with The 1975’s George Daniel.
An alternative reality, one in which she would be the supporting character, was presented to her when she went to Stockholm to visit her songwriting collaborator Noonie Bao,...

Thor: Love & Thunder features a total of 29 gods in the MCU, including gods from Norse, Greek, and Marvel's own pantheon. Thor's journey in the MCU has established him as a worthy and powerful hero, and Chris Hemsworth is the only original Avenger actor to have four solo projects. The presence of numerous gods in the movie helps highlight the threat of the villain, Gorr the God Butcher, and makes the ending of Thor: Love & Thunder more impactful.
Dozens of new gods were introduced in Marvel Studios' Thor: Love & Thunder, joining the titular God of Thunder and his allies in the battle against Gorr the God Butcher. Taika Waititi returned to direct the fourth MCU Thor film, following the success he found with Thor: Ragnarok, and although Thor: Love & Thunder wasn't as well received, the Phase 4 film did expand on the mythos of the McU's gods.

The classic wuxia novels written by the late Louis Cha, better known by his pen name Jin Yong, are a popular source of inspiration when it comes to films, TV series and even comics adaptations. Therefore it is not a surprise that this version, produced by iQIYI, China's most-watched video streaming giant network is yet another adaptation from Yong's “Fox Volant of the Snowy Mountain” which was first serialized in the local papers back in 1959.

New York, May 19 (Ians) Researchers have developed a single, multilayer, soft and stretchable material with integrated nerve-like electronics that can sense pressure, temperature, strain, and more, just like real skin as well as talk to the brain.
Engineers eager to create artificial electronic skin have so far been able to fashion soft, flexible materials that mimic our remarkable senses, but so far they did not create a single sheet with skin-like materials that can directly talk to the brain.
While previous efforts required rigid electronics to convert the sensed signal into electrical pulses that the brain can read, researchers at Stanford University have produced soft integrated circuits that convert sensed pressure or temperature to electrical signals similar to the nerve impulses to communicate with the brain.
The researchers hope someday that those signals might be directed to implanted wireless communication chips in the peripheral nerve to allow amputees to control prosthetic limbs.

DC's Black Adam and Marvel's Moon Knight are more similar than they seem at first sight. Although with different results, 2022 gave Black Adam and Moon Knight the chance to demonstrate their potential to thrive in live-action. Both brutal anti-heroes are powered by higher beings, and both are rooted in Egyptian mythology, but their similarities don't stop there.
Real-world mythology is a great source of inspiration for comic books and comic book movies. For instance, Thor's corner of the Marvel Universe draws upon Norse mythology almost directly with places such as Asgard, Valhalla, and Jotunheim, while DC's Themyscira draws upon Greek mythology to inform the Amazons' fictional lore. Both Black Adam and Moon Knight have the same mythological background, and they also share some very specific characteristics.

Come back to cinema, Wkw! Tencent Pictures is China has debuted yet another new promo trailer for a web series + feature film project called Blossoms Shanghai, also known as only Blossoms (繁花) for China. This has been in the works for years and years. We featured a different trailer for this last year already, but it still hasn't been released yet. It's all rather vague. This is an adaptation of a 2012 novel of the same name from Jin Yucheng, telling the story of a young entrepreneur named Mr. Bao as he seeks wealth, status and romance set against a backdrop of China's 1990s economic boom. The story of a "self-made millionaire" in Shanghai during the 1990s, a young opportunist with a troubled past. Wong has said it is a "deeply personal venture as a return to his hometown of Shanghai," and he has been working on its script and development for five years.

This article contains Thor: Love and Thunder spoilers
Thor: Love and Thunder concluded in the way that all fans of the God of Thunder would have hoped for, with the familiar words ‘Thor will return.’ There was always some speculation that this could be Chris Hemsworth’s last outing as Thor, but it’s clear that either Thor 5 or some kind of spin-off story is in store for the Asgardian warrior.
What could that story involve, though? While it’s easy to speculate about all the directions a potential sequel could go in based on the comic books, Thor: Love and Thunder itself actually gave fans plenty of clues. The post-credits sequences were of course dead give-aways, but outside of those there are a number of other beats that future movies are sure to develop further.
Marvel Studios will continue to ask themselves the question “how can we make Thor feel fresh?...
