- LEIGHA KINGSLEY is an actress, writer, producer and director in Los Angeles. As an actress, she has worked on films with Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, Riley Keough, Kristen Wiig, Will Arnett, Jason Sudeikis, and guest starred on shows including "Criminal Minds". Most recently she co-starred in the film "Oyakodon", which was directed by Emmy nominated and Critics Choice Award nominated director Roxy Shih.
Leigha began writing to help create stronger female roles and female driven stories. Leigha's feature film and television scripts have been finalists for; Sundance, HBO Project Greenlight, and the New York Television Festival. In 2021, Leigha was shortlisted with Breaking Through The Lens, partnered with the Cannes Film Festival as having one of the "top 20 projects in development" for her female driven thriller/horror film "The Abandoned". In 2022, Leigha had consecutive success with Breaking Through The Lens and the Cannes Film Festival for her documentary, "The Spirit of Women". She was also selected to be a keynote speaker at SXSW 2024 to discuss her documentary, "The Spirit of Women", alongside her cast.
In addition, she Co- Executive Produced the feature film "The Neighbor", starring William Fichtner which was purchased by Starz. - Leigha Kingsley was put on the shortlist of actresses for the role of "Tara" after auditioning in an open casting call for director Paul Schrader's "The Canyons". She beat out hundreds of other actresses that auditioned around the world, but ended up passing due to the amount of nudity involved in the project.
- Leigha created and co-wrote the feature film, THE ABANDONED, which was selected as a TOP 10 SEMI-FINALIST for HBO's PROJECT GREEN-LIGHT.
