On Thursday (March 28), the 33-year-old singer released his new single titled “Hell Together,” which he dedicated to his mom.

“When I came out and also left my church and when that was made public I didn’t hear from my mom for a few days,” David said to his friends in a video shared on Instagram. “I thought, oh no, she’s probably so upset with me but then she sent me a message saying that she also was stepping away from the church.”

“Bottoms,” “Ru Paul’s Drag Race,” “Ted Lasso,” and Reneé Rapp took home top prizes at the GLAAD Media Awards, which this year celebrates the 35th anniversary of the annual award show.

Awards were handed out Thursday night at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. The show was hosted by actor and comedian Wayne Brady.

Oprah Winfrey received the Vanguard award, which was introduced by iconic Chicago drag performer Chili Pepper and celebrity host Paolo Presta. Television star Niecy Nash-Betts received the Stephen F. Kolzak Award presented by Sharon Stone.

“Many people don’t know this but 35 years ago, my brother Jeffrey Lee passed away when he was just 29-years-old from AIDS,” Winfrey said.

“Growing up at the time we did in the community we did, we didn’t have the language to understand or to speak about sexuality and gender in the way that we do now,” she continued.

“Ted Lasso,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “Yellowjackets” and “Bottoms” were among the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards’ list of winners.

On Thursday, TV personality and comedian Wayne Brady hosted the awards show for LGBTQ-friendly media, complete with performances from Chlöe and Kate Hudson debuting their songs “Fys” and “Talk About Love,” respectively.

Talk show icon Oprah Winfrey received the Vanguard Award, while Emmy-winning actress Niecy Nash-Betts was honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award for her work toward eliminating homophobia.

As far as the other winners go, the list included “Ted Lasso,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “Bottoms,” “Yellowjackets” and many more. Singer-songwriter Reneé Rapp was given the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Music Artist, presented by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong.

The singer has landed a book deal with HarperCollins imprint Dey Street Books in a competitive situation. Archuleta will pen what promises to be a revelatory memoir, per intel received by The Hollywood Reporter. Archuleta’s as-yet-untitled book promises to unveil, “for the first time,” the truth behind struggles growing up as a devout Mormon, achieving fame as a 17-year-old teen who finished second on American Idol, putting his music career on pause for a Mormon mission in Chile, and a “lifesaving decision” to come out as a member of the LGBTQ community during the pandemic.

“Through encouragement from friends, I’ve decided it’s important to share my story,” the 33-year-old says. “I hope it will help others understand the struggles those in the LGBTQ+ community have coming out in religious communities, provide light to anyone navigating difficult family dynamics or faith transitions,...

The 2024 Rose Parade is about to kick off!

In its 135th year, The Rose Parade will feature tons of celebration ahead of the Rose Bowl college football game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Michigan Wolverines in Pasadena, Calif.

The parade will start at 8 a.m. Pst on the streets of Pasadena and conclude at 10 a.m. Pt. It will air live on ABC, Ktla 5, NBC, and Univision.

For the first time, the Tournament of Roses will air a livestream of the parade.

The theme for 2024 is “Celebrating a World of Music: The Universal Language.”

“The Masked Singer” kicked off its 10th season on Sunday night with a special episode — and a lotta Lovato. Demi Lovato as “Anonymouse” was the first celebrity unmasked this season — although there’s an asterisk there. Lovato didn’t appear as part of the competition (otherwise they absolutely would have continued into future weeks), but as a one-off.

Lovato, of course, got their start at Disney — a.k.a. the Mouse House — via the Disney Channel movie “Camp Rock” and series “Sonny with a Chance.” So the “Anonymouse” character itself was most definitely a hint to Lovato’s identity under the mask.

Fox is taking the wraps off of the latest edition of the hit reality competition series, teasing the landmark 10th season with a first promo tonight — as well as a look at the first round of costumes. His emotional journey of self-discovery ended with performances of “Hold Back the River” by James Bay and “All By Myself” by Eric Carmen. Panelists Nicole Scherzinger and Ken Jeong correctly guessed the musician’s identity, but Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg were off the mark.
