A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a British teen mystery drama series created by Poppy Cogan. Based on the 2017 young adult mystery crime novel of the same name by author Holly Jackson, the BBC and Netflix series is set five years after a murder-suicide in which a popular high-school girl was murdered by her boyfriend, who later killed himself, at least that’s what everyone believes in their town of Little Kilton. We follow the story of Pip Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers), who is now a high school senior. She believes that there is more to this mystery than meets the eye, and that’s why she begins an investigation into the case, but if she is right and her boyfriend didn’t kill her, then there is a killer out there who could become a danger for Pip. So, if you like the mystery, drama, romance, and small-town vibes...

Nancy and Ace end up together in the series finale of Nancy Drew, acknowledging that they can't be apart. Director Amanda Row wanted to capture the special moment between Nancy and Ace by keeping the framing still and echoing a previous conversation. The scene is about relief and joy, rather than being a dramatic first kiss. It captures the bubbly, butterfly feeling of being with someone you love.
The fate of Nancy Drew and Ace is explained by the series finale director. Returning for its farewell outing, Nancy Drew promised to bow out with its signature blend of spooky scares and romantic conflict. The show's final episode, "The Light Between Lives", delivers both in spades. In the end, Nancy (Kennedy McMann) and Ace (Alex Saxon) end up together. How has it only been one year since Kate Drew died as of Nancy Drew Season 4 Episode 8?
The only explanation is that this is TV time. Sometimes that involves time jumps of months or years. And sometimes, a series that airs over years only spans a very short period of time for the characters involved.
But it felt jarring that after all Nancy and the Drew Crew have been through, it's all taken place in one year.
The Freaky Friday style twist of having the crew swap bodies was strangely amusing as I had to keep reminding myself who was in whose body.
That is except for Bess being in Nick's body. Tunji Kasim was phenomenal at making me believe Bess now inhabited Nick's body. The voice and mannerisms were spot-on and really funny.
But speaking of Nick, was turning down the town council seat the right move? Wouldn't it...

Arsema Thomas had not seen the Netflix hit Bridgerton before she sent in an audition tape to play young Lady Agatha Danbury in its prequel series, Queen Charlotte, while doing her master’s degree in fine arts in London. But even without having seen the show that has captivated fans globally, she knew she wanted the role.
“There was something interesting or different about this type of storytelling because it’s clearly grabbing people,” Thomas tells THR. “There was something about the fact that I have never seen a character written like this for a Black woman before. Usually, if she’s supporting the main narrative, she doesn’t have a three-dimensional narrative of her own — she only exists in the realm of the lead. And to see that this woman was just so engaging, so mysterious — but in a way that didn’t detract from her complexity, but rather...

The extended Nancy Drew season 4 trailer reveals new details of the show's final mystery. Based on the series of novels surrounding its titular character, Nancy Drew premiered on The CW back in 2019. In addition to McMann, the cast of Nancy Drew includes Alex Saxon, Leah Lewis, Maddison Jaizani, Tunji Kasim, Riley Smith, and Scott Wolf.
Although the show has built a dedicated fanbase, it was confirmed that Nancy Drew would end after season 4, which premieres May 31, and the latest extended trailer posted by The CW offers a glimpse of what to expect.

The trailer for Nancy Drew's final season takes a scary turn with ghosts, spiders, and even demons. The CW announced in October 2022 that Nancy Drew would end with season 4. Along with the announcement, showrunners Noga Landau and Melinda Hsu Taylor promised those that had followed the series that the last outing would be "a worthy and resonant payoff" for the supernatural drama that stars Kennedy McMann, Leah Lewis, Maddison Jaizani, Tunji Kasim, Alex Saxon, Riley Smith, and Scott Wolf.
Released by The CW, a new trailer for Nancy Drew season 4, which debuts on May 31 on The CW, looks to make good on that promise. Check out the trailer below:
The trailer leans into Nancy Drew's horror aspects, with giant spiders, spooky ghosts, and demons. The adaptation still maintains its sunny presentation and humor otherwise, and the episodes will also be available to stream the next day on The CW's app.

Here’s how “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Bridgerton” creator Shonda Rhimes thinks about sex scenes: carefully.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly in support of her just-launched Netflix series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,” the doyen of steamy TV expounded on her philosophy for writing sexy sequences, telling the outlet she really doesn’t “write them any differently,” no matter if they are for broadcast or streaming TV. “I really don’t. I’m kind of a prude,” she said. “So, what I write into the scenes is what I want the audience to get in terms of the character emotion or the character story that’s playing out. I basically write like, ‘This is how we want them to feel.'”
And she’s found plenty of key assistance along the way, including the use of intimacy coordinators on set, of which Rhimes is a major fan. “I’m...

With Netflix’s Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which debuted all six episodes on Thursday, we know exactly how the titular monarch’s marriage to King George III sparked the diverse world presented in Bridgerton.
It all began with an arranged marriage in the series premiere. A young, strong-willed Charlotte (played by India Amarteifio) was not happy to learn that her brother Adolphus (Tunji Kasim) set her up to marry the King of England (Corey Mylchreest). On the carriage ride to the palace, she threatened to leap from the moving vehicle and impale herself with her delicate and sharp corset made of whalebone.

One of the visual pleasures of Netflix’s “Bridgerton” has been the series’ enthusiasm for bolder colors and costumes inspired — but never limited — by the styles of the Regency era. Clothing is how the show makes clear not just who has the social upper hand but each character’s approach to social climbing and self-confidence.
In the prequel series “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,” costume designers Lyn Paolo and Laura Frecon (both Shondaland alumni) use the characters’ clothing to achieve those same ends from the moment we first meet the soon-to-be Queen (India Amarteifio) on her way to marry a man sight unseen. But for inspiration, they looked beyond the series’ era to something far more modern: the Met Ball.
“Laura and I are very conscious of being very respectful of the world that [Season 1 costume designer] Ellen Mirojnick created. It’s quite a wonderful world. But our story is an origin story,...

As one of Netflix’s most popular series, it was only a matter of time before Bridgerton got a spinoff. Created by Shonda Rhimes, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story changes gears, turning its attention toward the titular character and her love story with King George III. The series jumps between two time periods, balancing multiple storylines. The historical fantasy series sets up a lovely central romance, and gives focus to Lady Danbury’s story, among several others. The prequel series gets too caught up in establishing the monarchs’ love as the bridge between their society’s divide when it could have focused more on the romance itself, but Queen Charlotte has plenty of charisma, heart, and dramatic tension to make it worth recommending.

In the first season of the hit Netflix series “Bridgerton,” Lady Agatha Danbury (Adjoh Andoa) proclaims: “We were two separate societies divided by color until a king fell in love with one of us.” It is the first time race is ever overtly mentioned on the show. Since then, many have wondered to what extent race factored into the fictional Regency-era series, especially as it relates to Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel).
“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” not only fills in the gaps of how “Bridgerton’s” Queen rose to power, but it also shares how she navigated that rise through the hazardous terrain of politics, royalty, mental illness and race. It achieves this through a humanizing character portrayal that delivers a surprising emotional punch. In addition, Shonda Rhimes’ six-episode prequel gives agency to supporting characters of the Bridgertonverse.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is a series from Netflix directed by Tom Verica, starring India Ria Amarteifio y Golda Rosheuvel.
If you’re a fan, you’re going to love it. And if you are not, you will discover a wonderful fairy tale with an excellent production and a dynamic that, in our very humble opinion, surpasses the original series at the level of treatment.
Netflix has discovered a niche market (that’s its job), and it knows how to take advantage of it. This time it does it with a stylish spin-off, delving in a deeper story, full of humor and with the magnificent India Ria Amarteifio heading the cast and putting all the irony that the character requires.
