The man who oversaw the relaunch of ITV’s streaming service will lead Scotland’s Stv as CEO.

Rufus Radcliffe has been appointed to succeed Simon Pitts, who was named Chief Executive at British media firm Global earlier this year. Pitts exits on October 31 and Radcliffe will become Stv Group boss a day later.

Radcliffe exited ITV, where he was a member of the UK commercial network’s Executive Committee, in April after 13 years. He has most recently been Managing Director of Streaming, Interactive and Data, playing a major role in ITV’s shift from linear broadcasting to digital, in particular overseeing the launch of streamer Itvx. He had also previously been Chief Marketing Officer, helping to launch BritBox.

Alberto Rosende, who plays Brett Galo on Chicago Fire, has announced his departure from the hit drama series. Rosende expressed his gratitude for the special people he's met and friendships he's made during his time on the show. Although he doesn't provide a specific reason for leaving, cast departures on long-running procedural dramas like Chicago Fire can be financially motivated or due to actors wanting to explore other projects.

“I’m always shocked when I see someone saying ‘Simon Miller Hottie,’ or the hottest guy. I’m like, ‘You’re kidding,’” he insists. “I was definitely a late bloomer. I was more like the brooding poet type when I was in high school. I never felt like I was going to be one of the popular kids,” he says. “But acting, for me, has always been a way to explore other people I could have been in life.”

The season premiere of The CW’s Gossip Girl will return a familiar face to the show: Simon Miller is coming back for one episode.

Miller appeared in two previous episodes as an actor who’s famous for playing vampires. His character was caught in a love triangle between Olivia (Hilary Duff) and Dan (Penn Badgley). Since then he’s appeared on another CW hit, Vampire Diaries.

The CW just picked up two more episodes of Gossip Girl for next season, along with additional hours of three other shows (find out which here). Gossip returns Monday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m.

Ancestry is key on "The Vampire Diaries," and the Lockwood family is no exception. We're about to learn a lot more about the Lockwood family curse -- in case you've been living under a rock, they're werewolves. Now, Simon Miller has been cast as the patriarch of the Lockwood pack, George Lockwood.
