Matthew Kallen

With an affinity for sound and music I was influenced by the spur of technological advancements and techniques of early "digital era" recording and sound design. This led to countless recording sessions and studio hours working alongside musicians ranging from Rod Stewart, Incubus, Imogen Heap, to The Crystal Method, among more. Working at the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences - NARAS, I helped establish the first Electronic Music committee which included many prolific and pioneering artists in the worlds of sound and music. My passion for utilizing modern technology to manipulate emotion through sound led to pursuing more visually stimulating projects including television, feature, and video game titles. As a sound professional, I became a partner at Smart Post Sound in 2018 and have since assisted creative collaborations between storytellers, filmmakers, and their sonic experiences.
