On December 13, during a live performance of his original song “Vai Ser Tão Lindo,” Pedro Henrique fell backward and collapsed mid-performance.
Henrique was a gospel singer who was performing for a religious event in the Brazilian city of Feira de Santana. The 30-year-old Brazilian singer suffered a fatal heart attack while singing. The incident was caught on video.
It can be seen in the footage that Henrique urges the crowd to sing along with the song by holding out his microphone, but when he comes back in to join, he is unable to find his balance and falls, slumping into his band behind him.
The footage of this event was being live-streamed throughout social media channels, including his Instagram account which has 1.2 million followers.
After the incident occurred, people rushed onto the stage to come to the singer’s aid while the members of the crowd stood bewildered and shaken.
