Ronaldo (Ronnie) Tumbokon is a multi-award winning playwright, television and screenplay writer. He garnered top prizes from contests sponsored by the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards, the Film Academy of the Philippines and the Centennial Literary Competition.
He was Creative Research Head in Viva Films and subsequently, Pre-production manager. As creative consultant for Viva Television, he conceptualized and crafted scrips for the GMA 7 TV shows Ober da Bakod (later became 2 movies) and Viva Spotlight. He then consulted for Neo Films (a Star Cinema Company) and ABC 5 where he supervised the writers pool of shows like Wow Mali and Eezy Dancing, as well as the multi-awarded comedy satire Ispup.
