Exclusive: Premiere Entertainment has licensed Katie’s Mom starring veteran actress Dina Meyer to ITN Distribution for North America. ITN will be releasing on all Tvod platforms on September 1.

The film is described as a “steamy relationship comedy”. The film also stars Aaron Dominguez (Only Murders in the Building) and Julia Tolchin (Life & Beth). The story follows a recent divorcee (Meyer) whose holiday celebration with her adult children derails when she falls for her daughter’s charming new boyfriend (Dominguez).

Katie’s Mom is Tyrrell Shaffner’s feature directorial debut. She co-wrote the original screenplay with Meryl Branch-McTiernan. Shaffner and Branch-McTiernan produced the film for Ex Files Productions alongside Corey Moss. Sandy Cleary, Dina Meyer, Kristin T Higgins, Jimmy Velissaris, Milan Chakraborty, and Sanjay Sharma served as executive producers.

Premiere Entertainment Group (Peg) has acquired worldwide rights to relationship dramedy Katie’s Mom and will be offering the film to buyers at this week’s European Film Market.

Exclusive: Dina Meyer (All American), Aaron Dominguez (Only Murders in the Building), Julia Tolchin (Loveland), Colin Bates (Broadway’s Girl from the North Country) and Jason Wiles (Third Watch) will star in the comedy Katie’s Mom (formerly The Dropout), marking the feature directorial debut of Tyrrell Shaffner.

The film is about a divorcée, played by Meyer, whose holiday celebration with her adult children derails when she falls for her daughter’s charming new boyfriend, played by Dominguez. Its cast also includes Jade Ramirez (You Cannot Hide), Clara York (Euphoria), Lexie Stevenson (The Young and The Restless) and Shannon Dee (Good Girls).

Shaffner and Meryl Branch-McTiernan wrote the script, which was a quarterfinalist in the Academy’s Nicholl screenplay competition two years in a row.
