The first trailer for Red One was released back in June, and the response was far from enthusiastic. Reports of disastrous early screenings followed, and the news that Amazon MGM planned to lift the social media embargo during election night wasn't a great sign, either.

The first reactions to Jumanji director Jake Kasdan's Christmas-themed fantasy adventure are now in, and while they're far from positive, the consensus probably isn't quite as bad as you may have been expecting.

Though a few critics did not care for the movie whatsoever, others were very impressed, hailing the movie as a new Holiday classic.

The movie stars Dwayne Johnson as a North Pole security agent who teams-up with a skilled but "naughty" bounty hunter (Chris Evans) to track down and rescue an impressively jacked Santa Claus (J.K. Simmons) when he's kidnapped by a group of unknown assailants.

While there aren’t any movies quite like Coralie Fergeat’s “The Substance,” there are plenty of over-the-top horror films about transformation, incredibly weird science, shared identities and losing your damn mind, like the 1981 cult movie “Possession,” pretty much every David Cronenberg movie, as well as offerings from Ken Russell, Peter Strickland, Julia Ducournau and Ari Aster.

Expect screaming, exploding heads, lots of blood and some of the most insane endings ever.

Isabelle Adjani has the mother of all freakouts in a subway in this role that earned her a César for Best Actress (the French equivalent of the Oscars) and Best Actress at the Cannes Film Fest that year, but that’s not even the most mind-blowing part of the movie form Polish director Andrzej Żuławski. She’s also cheating on her husband (Sam Neill) with something that isn’t really human.

Anticipating this incredibly popular prequel, which has thrilled fans since its confirmation, many in the community are eager to see certain characters make their appearance in Gears of War: E-Day.

Beyond the already confirmed presence of Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago, there are other characters that deserve to be part of Gears of War: E-Day. This universe is vast and includes several important characters who only briefly appeared in the original trilogy. Here are nine characters fans would love to see in the prequel.

After wrapping up July with a Jan de Bont double feature discussing the movie magic of Twister (listen) and the laundry list of problems with his 1999 remake of The Haunting (listen), we’re heading down to Mexico City to discuss Alejandro Jodorowsky‘s surrealist masterpiece Santa Sangre (1989).

Santa Sangre sees Fenix (Axel Jodorowsky), a former circus magician, escape from a mental hospital to rejoin his armless mother Concha (Blanca Guerra), the leader of a strange religious cult. Once they are reunited, Fenix is forced to enact brutal murders on Concha’s behalf as he becomes “her arms.” Only a figure from his past, the deaf mute tightrope walker Alma (Sabrina Dennison), can stop him before he murders again; but will she be able to reach him in time?

Now that the Gears of War series is back from what some may call a much-needed beauty rest, the community is back at it again with endless discussions on its future and where it should head next once E-Day rolls out.

Microsoft surprised fans when it revealed that Gears of War: E-Day would be a prequel to the franchise. It will cover the first emergence of the Locust, when humans were still unprepared to face these terrifying creatures. As a result, many fans have various theories and suggestions about what should happen in this title.

For instance, a discussion arose on Reddit about how good the main character Marcus Fenix is, as he has made quite questionable decisions in the past but always ends up in a favorable light, unlike his son in the last two games. Perhaps this prequel should emphasize even more that he is a character with many nuances.

Developer The Coalition are returning to the Gears of War franchise after 2019’s Gears 5, this time with a prequel in Gears of War: E-Day. Announced during the Xbox Games Showcase, E-Day will take place fourteen years before Gears of War, and sees the return of Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago. Accompanying the announcement is a new trailer.

Currently in development for the Xbox Series and PC, Gears of War: E-Day is set during Emergence Day, and will have Fenix and Santiago facing off against the Locust Horde. In an interview with Xbox Wire, The Coalition aims to recreate and improve the series’ trademark third-person action, set within an explosive campaign that combines satisfying gameplay and “emotive, character-led storytelling.”

The time has finally come for Marvel Studios‘ newest outing, which has been collecting hype — good and bad. Echo has a lot on its plate. It will be the first title, which is the launch of the company’s Marvel Spotlight banner. Rey Fenix hit a high crossbody press to the outside onto Jarrett as Jarrett was making his entrance. Fenix followed up with a moonsault for a near fall. Moxley hammered away with headbutts. Andretti clipped Mox with a dropkick. Action flipped over the ropes and crashed onto Moxley. The champ charged at Andretti, but Andretti dodged him, and Moxley’s own momentum forced him into the steel ring steps. Moxley rallied back with a wild dive through the ropes to Action. It’s a great time to be a professional wrestling fan. With so much content out there, it is hard to follow everything. But All Elite Wrestling should be celebrating this week because they will host the upcoming second “All In” professional wrestling pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium. With record-breaking ticket sales, it looks like fans are really looking forward to this event.

“All In” will occur on August 27, 2023, at Wembley Stadium in London, England. This will mark Aew’s debut in the United Kingdom, their first PPV event outside North America. All In will mark the first professional wrestling event to be held at present-day Wembley Stadium, with the stadium itself promoting it as part of the 100th anniversary of Wembley.

Cars. Family. Willing suspension of disbelief. These three words can basically sum up the two-decade sprawling franchise of the “Fast and Furious” saga. While the premise of the movies has transitioned from more grounded illegal street racing to pure nonsensical fun action heists, it’d seem the relevance of the franchise is fighting against time, but the box office numbers have to say otherwise. However, nine movies—which are part of the original series, one spin-off movie, and even an animated series—later, the franchise is going to end its lap with a movie trilogy, starting with the first part, Fast X, which is releasing this week. With numerous actors already associated with this ever-expanding action franchise, it’s easy to lose track of everything regarding the main narrative. We will like to bring viewers up to speed by trying to chronicle the important events in the “Fast and Furious” franchise.
