Born in Louisville, Kentucky - Mark grew up moving around the Midwest

career in the entertainment industry began working for "The Oprah
Winfrey Show," when a twist of fate led to Mark becoming one of the
audience warm-up guys for the show - still one of his favorite gigs.
Around this time he began studying improvisation at The Second City in
Chicago before deciding to relocate to Los Angeles. Mark continued his
training at the famed Beverly Hills Playhouse where he also starred in
one acts for The Katselas Theatre Company. Some notable on-camera
appearances along the way include the bong smoking adult party-goer in
Superbad, the dreamer-husband in Kia's 2012 Superbowl spots with
Adrianna Lima and Mötley Crüe, and network TV appearances on Love
Bites, The Mentalist and CSI. His short film "The Ricochet," the first
project he wrote in addition to starring in, was an official selection
at the Los Angeles Shorts Film Festival and The Other Venice Film
Festival. He is married to entertainment lawyer, Jennifer Provencher
and lives in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles.
